An iconic example of Bauhaus-era functional design, by Wilhelm Wagenfeld - Jenaer Glaswerk (Schott & Gen.), Germany, c. 1935–1945

This glass teapot was designed by Wilhelm Wagenfeld and produced by Jenaer Glaswerk (Schott & Gen.) in Germany. Crafted in heat-resistant Jena glass, the design embodies the Bauhaus ideal of clarity, function, and material honesty.

The teapot features a balanced, low-profile body with an angled spout, applied glass handle, and its original glass lid and removable strainer with amber-toned heat ring. Fully transparent, the form allows the brewing process itself to become part of the experience.
